As in previous years, the main theme of the 2016 Lake Constance 5D Conference is to make projects faster, more efficient and more cost-effective. Software development has been a focus in the past. International developers, architects and building contractors are presenting their strategies and experiences of 5D processes for the first time this year. The attendees will also be looking at themes like cooperation, security and the legal and technical aspects of building information modelling.
“For PERI the Conference provides an ideal platform for making contacts for cooperation with building contractors and for advancing the theme of BIM”, says Dipl. Ing. Jochen Köhler, Manager Engineering Tools & Innovation for the PERI Group.
PERI sees many opportunities in building information modelling for detecting interface problems promptly and, thus, for optimising costs and execution times, especially on major projects. PERI has already been working intensively in this area for several years.
